after taking viagra a man has to wait at least 30-45 minutes for the drug to take hold. you don't automatically obtain an erection. stimulation of the penis is required. then the erection is readily achieved. after ejaculation, the erection (from experience) usually lasts 10-15 more minutes and then gradually subsides.
an erection lasting 4 hours after arousal should be indicative of the need for immediate medical attention as the longer the erection lasts, the greater the chance of doing nerve damage to the organ.

Don't worry mate, it's not as bad as that. Like the others have said, it takes a little while for the chemical action, and then it's triggered by whatever would normally arouse you. But when it does...LOOK OUT!!! You develop what is referred to as a "blue steelie!" It's so hard you can't scratch it with a cat's claw! (LOL)
And depending on the dose, it lasts a while, but not so terribly long, however it does let you get right back up in the saddle again if you like. And that's not so bad, eh girls?! :)

It doesnt happen right away. You need to take it about an hour before and you also still need a little bit of help!!!!! It last quite a while after wards you probably got quite a few hours.

No, it takes awhile for the Viagra to work and then the man doesn't just automatically get an erection. It take foreplay in order for an erection to occur.

it usually starts working after about 20 minutes...yes they do get an erection and they can ejeculate, the erection can last up to 1 hour to 8 hours....sometimes longer, i have known this to happen, my partner does not need viagra, but we both take it to intensify our sex life...i know the pill is made for men but it works well on women too....not saying try it, but it does work

no it may be a 30 min window,as for after ejaculation you still have a erection for a couple of hours.ask you doc he can tell you the time frame.BUT IF THE DOC DID NOT GIVE YOU THE LITTLE BLUE PILL. YOU COULD BE HARMING YOUR SELF AND COULD CAUSE DEATH IF YOU HAVE A HEART PROBLEM THAT YOU ARE UNAWARE OF good luck.

apparently it takes a while for your little man to stand up so you're meant to pop one before you have a meal or something... dunno how long it lasts afterwards but i reckojn you've got a good few hours..
