A good healthy exercise program and an optimized diet are essential. Also: Vitamin C with bioflavinoids, grape seed extract 100-300 mg per day, and Horse Chestnut Seed extract. Butcher's Broom may also be useful.

There was a section on this in a magazine that i bought the other day - the the free Reveal inside the November issue of Company. Basically it says that you have to keep active and eat a healthy diet rich in bioflavonoids which are found in berries. Horse chestnut and red-vine leaf extracts are also thought to help maintain healthy leg-vein circulation by strengthening blood vessel walls. Compression tights can be helpful too as they put pressure on the veins, forcing the blood to floow the right way.
Hope this helps :)

This is how to aviod them:
1.Keep Hydrated
2. DO NOT cross your legs
3.Sleep with a pillow under your legs for circulation.

Sclerotherapy is a technique of injecting saline into the vein to shrink the "spider vein". It is not painful and works for about 90% of people and is done by a doctor in an outpatient setting. Look into it
