I live here in the NC mtns, and I travel around the state every week.. The northern mtns of nc will be at their peak in about a week, while the area aound franklin, bryson city and asheville will peak this year around the end of the third week of october.

I don't know specifically, but I have a suggestion. Here in Michigan, the local television stations post color changes in the Weather links on the news websites. I would try looking there in your area of interest.
