Why would they just send you money? There is no free money. If it seems to good to be true, it is.

I had the same scam sent to me. They will give you money or a money order to open a bank account. THEN they will give you no good money orders to deposit. They will then with draw the money that was put in the bank with the bad money orders they sent you. By time the bank sees they are no good they have the money and you were scam ed/ . They also target people who are selling things thru the booklets like My cousin in Ca, went to the police and offered to be there to met the person who they said they were going to send. No luck. The police and the postal service people didn't care what was happening. BELIEVE me, stay away from this. They are smarter then you. Actually I remember it better now as I think of it more. It was Wal Mart money orders they sent my cousin to deposit. He brought them to Wal Mart and they told him they were no good but didn't or won't do any thing at all to stop this person from trying to scam people. if you are lucky enough to get money that isn't counterfeit keep it. Do nothing else. Ignore all e mails and letters from them. beat them at their game.

Having worked in the country on a couple of occasions I would be suspicious of any Nigerian offering me money. I would guess its the 'bait' for something bigger the other way, like an offer to put money next in your account if you kindly send them the details. So you have a couple of options
1) Take the money, have a drink on them and finish contact
2) Finish contact now
