I did a liitle quick impromptu research on this, and it appears that within any and all genre of music, about 65% seem to be male. My collection is split along those lines. I excluded mixed gender groups, like Fleetwood Mac and Abba. I have a lot of those. I guess I should percentagize them also.

The majority of my collection is the opposite sex (mainly male artists). However, that could be because I like the heavy stuff and there is not alot of women doing the metal/rock singing!

Most of my collection are men........merely because they are bands. Somehow......more men create bands than women I do believe.
Solo artists? Most of them are women. Interesting psychological survey here.
Does this mean women feel more comfortable being on their own? And men find comfort in groups? How opposite to the misconception of women travelling to bathrooms. :)
