buy a program called 98lite. that's the only way it can be done.
but then why? You could just ignore it. Use another browser. Also, windows update and a myriad of other sites won't work without IE. If it were me, and I have run Win98 machines, I would just download opera or firefox, and let IE live on my computer, and just use the alternative browser.

You should never remove Internet Explorer, it comes with the Windows package and without it, you won't be able to get any Updates, although Microsoft doesn't support W98 for updates now.

Dear,

Windows is the registered trademark of microsoft. Same like that IE (Internet Explorer ia also the registered trademark of microsoft.Microsoft products provided with windows cannot be uninstalled,they can only be upgraded from an older version to latest one.So IE cannot be uninstalled. You can only upgrade it.

go to contol panel.There click add or remove programmes.Click the enternet exp.It will come change or emove in right corner.click it and see wat happens.
