You are absolutely correct. Even the so called " Judges " think and believe that only men are dead beat dads. There are women out there who want to get every ounce of blood from you because they know that ' Judges " are in favor of them. They put on a cry face in the court house and their Attorneys are equally believe that you are a dead beat dad. The system "XXXXs"

She's right. She shouldn't say anything negative to your nephew about his father. You never know what can happen in the future, and this little guy doesn't need the burden of knowing his father is an idiot. Let him figure that out on his own, when he's older. At 5, he does not need a dose of reality, he needs to be a child and know that everything is okay. Kids take a lot very seriously, things we wouldn't think to worry about. At this point, even telling him that his dad is very busy working, is a good excuse or just Daddy lives far away and it makes it hard for him to be around all the time. It's good that he has males around that love him.

Welcome to the real world. There are only deadbeat Dads. 90% of women that leave children and husband never pay a cent. Courts don't care and neither do women. They just like making Dads a living hell.

Lastly men care more about their children and don't care about money they just want the children.

What does that really show everyone. Dads are better parents because they care about the children and not the extra $$$.

Maybe you're living in the wrong state. Illinois prosecutes deadbeat dads as CRIMINALS. If they refuse or dodge adjudicated pay schedules, they go to jail. I don't know how the other states handle things, but anyone who takes custody of a child should plan on raising them without help. Unfortunate, but true. B.

You are right, When any parent refuses to be in the life of their child and to help with the safety and security of bringing up a healthy child is a deadbeat. If you don't have money for the condom you will not have money for the milk.

Evolutionary Psychology-Neurologicaly hardwired into our brains over thousands of years is that it is easier to emphathize for a female than a male .

This reflected in so many ways so subtly that it impacts even family law .

If there was room for one more person on a lifeboat and it was a choice between a man and a woman who would get to go on ?

The woman .

If you punched a women in the breast specificly and maliciously targteing there breast would it be classified as sexual assault ?Probably !

If a man is kicked in the balls by a woman who did it for any other reason than legitimate self defence would he even press sexual assault charges on her?Probably not ! . If he did could he get those charges to stick ? Probably not !

Im a struggling father who pays child support i get behind and catch up . My ex is nice and i thank her for it .

I dont mind woman having this evolutionary psychological capabilty to be more readly empathized than her male counterpart.

What i do mind is the abuse of that social precept or social norm .

Women have wondered where have all te cowboys gone ?

There evolving ?

You have my empathy but i must admit it is harder even for a guy to empathize for another guy than a guy to empathize for a woman .

Good Luck Soldier

Deadbeats can be both. Your right. Call social services/child support division. They will go after her to get child support. Just follow up with every thing they tell you to do. If she is working they will take it right out of her check. Isnt it terrible that a parent cant live up to taking care of their child? Good luck.

Its money and control. The judges can avoid this problem by assuming "Shared parenting"and assign a Parenting coordinator to work out a fair plan that the kids can get love and support from both parents. If parents could separate the relationship issues of me inc. and you inc. then the divorce process could be a lot less painful. Its not a gender thing as much as a media and politically issues. It dosen't help when you are fighting a buss word and the real issues of the kids.

I agree. Most people just assume it is the man. There are just as many deadbeat mothers out there too. Good for you for taking care of your child.

People who don't help pay for their kids are deadbeat losers- man or woman.
