I have noticed that really poor white people talk a lot like the so called stereotypical black person does. For instance, I have heard some hillbillys saying " lemme ax you sumthin". So I think there are just people of both white and black races that speak that way. Maybe in the future all people will say ax instead of ask, like in the cartoon Futurama.

I have a sister in law that says axe, I know what she means, so why push it?Black people have a wonderful command of the English language, if you disregard any slang that any race of kids use.I love Samual L Jackson`s eloquent use of english, just to mention one person,Language is not racial, as far as basic language goes,we all have different accents and i love all of them from north, south east and west.DC ps lighten up, don`t be so picky.Have fun with it,don`t criticize.

Its laziness on the part of the speaker. Slang and mumbo jumbo english are the result of a the african american society trying to get by on their own rules. "I donts need to learns no english! I be speakin fine by my sef!" Then there is the accent. The southern accent that white people also exhibit in the south. If you look at Black people that live in England they sound just like English speaking people. I believe were you live dictates your speaking habits. I hate broken English also its just so lazy and stupid sounding.
