But sorry to say if/when you do,
You'll have great ideas about doing the right thing helping the people of this great country,
but soon you'll realise you have to become part of the system,
years down the line after getting over several barriers becoming part of the system turns into compromise of beliefs and all those great ideas seem so far away and you get embroiled in all the problems that exist and before you know it you've forgotten why you wanted to be an MP in the first place.

Firstly you must be competent in evading the answers to questions that are put to you.

Other requisites are, good at telling porkies, not listening to what your constituents say, waving white papers or hankies during Prime Ministers question time, ability to laugh off serious matters and most importantly seeing that your secretary is more than satisfied with your efforts.

You should also learn how to enter the rear seats of your chauffeur driven company car in an elegant manner, and remember not to eat between meals, as you have to leave room for your free luncheons.

That's a good question, and I don't really know the answer, but a lot of MPs are lawyer and barristers - if you think about it Pariiament is just one big whopping court room with lawyers arguing with each other....I sort of get the impression it's a bit of a 'closed club', like it's only for Oxbridge candidates. A friend of mine is studying Politics at University, that may help.
