IQ stands for intelligence quotient. Supposedly, it is a score that tells one how “bright” a person is compared to other people. The average IQ is by definition 100; scores above 100 indicate a higher than average IQ and scores below 100 indicate a lower that average IQ. Theoretically, scores can range any amount below or above 100, but in practice they do not meaningfully go much below 50 or above 150.

About 50% of the population have IQs between 90 and 110, and about 80% of the population have IQs ranging between 80 and 120, with 10% lying below 80, and 10% falling above 120.

Now do you know where you stand?

Means your general intelligence is above average. You probably play Scrabble better than most of us. To be a genius, one must not only have an IQ of 140 but he/she must invent something useful to mankind. Its more than just scoring well on a test..... ps collage should be spelled college.
