From what you have described with your question the battery is too big. You should probably get a battery for your car, mobile phone, personal toy or whatever you are talking about that is the correct size and not "too" big.
Too big in physical size may mean the battery wont fit or secure properly. Too big in voltage will cause damage to electrical circuits and possible fire. A car battery with 12 volts wont have "too" big Cold Cranking Amp or Reserve Capacity ratings. They just cost more.

well if your talking size wise get the right size battery. But if your talking cranking amps then it wont make a difference the cranking amps are there to let you know how many cranking amps you'll get once you turn your ignition to the cranking position. My van calls for a battery with 675 cold cranking amps but I found a battery the same size with 1200 cold cranking amps just because our winters get very cold -10 to -35 below zero in the winter so the higher cranking amps keep my van running in the winter time.

Sounds to me like you've bought the wrong car battery or are trying to fit it incorrectly!

Are you the numpty who is trying to fit a 650Ah in a 500Ah space in an Audi A6?

If you are, stop being a prat, and go and buy the correct battery.

If you are not, the advice is still the same.
