Engineering jobs are the highest-paying jobs right out of college.
But the best job you can get is one that you love, and enjoy going to every day. I feel blessed every day that I have a job that I love - it makes up for some of the money I don't have to love :) But, I speak from experience. I've had both money, and a job I wasn't enamored of, and now I don't have tons of moey, but I and my children are happier.
If you mean the best jobs you can get while a student, I'd look into internships, and part-time jobs in your field. Many companies will hire you at an entry-level position if you're still in school, then put you into your actual position once you've graduated.

Any job you can get is a good job. I was pretty lucky as a Student I got a job at the night shift in a machine shop. Running an automatic machine. I was able to work full time while going to school full time. The machine only required my attention about 5 minutes out of 30, the rest of the time I studied.
Another option to consider is your school's placement office. Ours had jobs posted for students. Most of them were like rake the leaves in my yard. Etc.
Other off hour jobs are sanitation crews, janitor crews. These are less than full time type jobs and are generally after school hours.

While in school? I suggest any "work study" jobs, or any job you can get on campus working for a professor, in a library, or for one of the departments...these jobs will give you the most marketable skills for post graduation. I also suggest getting an internship in the summer. When I was an undergrad I worked in the Rural Sociology Dept doing data entry...it was boring as hell but I learned a lot! Good Luck!

Try to find an entry job in your field of study. For example, if you want to be a teacher, start of as an aide.
