Check for what is known as the "lemon law" in your area. It protects the consumer from being stuck with a bad automotive deal. Also, check with your local Better Business Breau (BBB) and check the reputation of your dealership. At last resorts, check with your local TV stations that handle reporting the local news in your area. Some of them have reporters assigned to consumer affairs and often will do a report on your situation. (Dealerships HATE bad press!!!)

The van you have purchased has a nasty reputation for bad transmissions. I work on transmissions for a living and you have no idea how many I have had to replace in your model van! most fail at or about 77.000 miles. some I have replaced several times in the same van. if you can return the van for a refund do so as soon as you can if you cant and the transmission fails make sure you pay the extra for the best warranty you can get as you will have to replace it again and again ant the transmission is expensive!I am sorry to give you such bad news and the dealer knows about the problem he will try to give you the run around good luck!

I'm not sure what the problem could be, but check the lemon laws for your state. I know that here where I live, if you take a vehicle back for the same problem at least 3 times in a 30 day period, it is considered a lemon and the dealer has to replace it or refund your money. Good Luck

I doubt you'll be able to recoup all your money, as you did get some use out of it.

You should, however be able to get back most.

Because it was an ongoing problem, i don't think you're stuck with it. You may loose the rental cost of 97.00 and one payment.

Take it back and insist they refund your deposit and give them the van back.

Be nice at first, and see if they'll work with you. If not, tell them you're going to small claims. Have a friend with you as a witness, and to give you a ride home. As you intend to leave the car there.

Goo luck.
