t They both offer you the same thing...added compression.
But, the supercharger is better in that it has no "turbo lag."
Turbo only works from the exhaust...so, until you have a flow of exhaust going, the turbo is useless.
The supercharger is always on. Instant added power.

Neither is better than the other. They both have advantages for certain types of vehicles. For instance a high revving car will benefit more from a turbo because the high rpms make the turbo spool faster. Superchargers work phenomenally on the Lightning and the Grand Prix GTP's. Turbo's have produced fast cars such as the WRX and the Supra Turbo. For my particular situation with a 1995 Z28 superchargers are more easily available than a turbo. Custom turbo's can be very expensive. But one way or another they both give you what you want......horsepower!

It depends. Supercharger is better for low speed, stop and go driving. The power is always on, but it uses some horsepower to operate.
A turbo kicks in at high engine speed, maybe 3,000 rpm. It does not use any horsepower to operate as it is turning from exhaust gas pressure.
Cost is a factor. Both options cost lots of money when ordered on a new vehicle.
You can get better performance at a cheaper price by ordering an engine with more horsepower. By avoiding the costly options, you avoid some costly repairs in the future.
The choice depends on the car and your driving style.

290 or 300mph?!!! Are you planning on racing a top fuel dragster or Bugatti in that Maxima? I'm gonna be honest, this is probably the funniest question I've ever seen on this site! I'm cracking up so hard, ha ha! Well, all you have to do is install a jet engine from an airplane and you can go 400mph! But seriously, if you want to go faster learn how to take the speed governor off. Then you might be able to go 130 or so. Otherwise, ride in an airplane if you want to go that fast or borrow 2 million $ from your pa and buy a super exotic car that will quickly kill you.
