My wife wants to divorce me ,because I do not make much money.Is it common of all wives in this country ?

We live in USA, been married for 23 years, 3 children.She works , makes about the same as mine.We are not poor nor rich.She said recently that we are not compatible.

It took her 23 years to figure out that you're "not compatible"? She probably didn't think that when you had your three kids. Talk to her...ask her about counseling. 23 years is a lot to just throw away! Is she bored???

I would be very surprised if after 23 years your wife was divorcing you because you didn't make enough money. Look deeper into the problems that are affecting your marriage. See a counselor with your wife and try to communicate to discover how to handle money issues in your relationship. If you have a chance to work harder and make more money and you are too lazy or too scared to take it, then she just does not want to be around a man with limited ambition and life. If this is the best you can do.. Which I do not believe, then she should help you if she loves you, but if she does not, she would simply walk away.. As for her you are like any other.. but with less means.. She thinks she can get better than what she has, why don't you either (socially and financially)??

Well , this is the one thing you could give her . Only thing is if you have anything , you'd probably would end up dividing everything . All women aren't like her at all . Your wife sounds like a shallow B . Didn't she marry you for Richer or Poorer ? Tell her to be on her way , she will end up getting hers , not in a good way either . You should (after the divorce is final ) go out and find someone who cares more about simple things like long walks and staring at the stars with you . let her divorce u now when u are poor and after its over send her a thank u note. later on when u are happier with a person with a soul or better off financially then send her another thank u note. this kind of thing is common all over not just in any country. sorry u didn't find out how she was until after u got married. be more careful next time. good luck.

Bud, its your lucky day. Agree with her that you don't make enough money,neither do we at this house, but its the bond of love that overlooks problems.
Stay where you are w/making money & after the split/walkout/divorce,of your wife,get serious w/ money, get a second job & a secret bank account & while doing that,hopefully you'll meet someone that loves you, not money. You will never be able to make this woman happy,ditch her !!!!

Unfortunately, money probblems rank high in the reasons for divorce (along with in-law, religious differences and children, etc.). They place high stress on a marriage.

your wife is no good she is a gold digger to me... i say divorce her @$$ and find a women who loves you for who you are because apparently this women dont love you and she only wants you for the money which you aint making so just leave her and when she comes back dont take her...
