How do you get the cheat codes to work on The Sims 2? Or even any of the sims period?

I press start and type them in quickly but it dont work. and then i try to type them in quickly during the game and they still dont work????

The start button has nothing at all to do with the game. It has to do with Windows or whatever strange or funny computer you are using?!! :) funny person you are!

To use cheats in the Sims 2 for PC, you have to open and then use the "cheat box" - use: ctrl-shift-c in the game window.
