If you are planning to go by train then visit indianrail.gov.in or irctc.co.inYou can book a ticket before 60 days and you have to book at least a week before your date of journey.

go to irctc.co.in website registeryourself and you should have a credit or debit card or itz cash card which is available freely at all dish tv dealer you can book your online ticket at this website and print your ticket at your place itself . take a print out of e.ticket and for journey you must have any id for that ticket or you can book internet ticket which will be delivered within three days to you by couriur.now railway offers a new scheme go to any sify browsing center pay cash for ticket and get ticket there itself they charge 15/-- rupees per ticket

log on to www.irctc.co.in and book ur tkt to any where in India 60days in advance. ie 60days before the date of ur journey.
