New York Daily News reported it this morning. Lou Pinnela is rumored as a replacement. I think Stienbrenner is out of his mind to fire Joe.......It's Un American!!! Can you imagine Lou Pinnela and Larry Bowa on the same coaching staff?? Someones going to get killed. The players don't need a side show with either one of them. Keep Joe, dump A-Rod and Randy and get some new young arms and they should be okay.

Hard to decide.
Joe Torre is a great manager, but even one must admit he's been relaxed in the last 3 or 4 years. Not only were the Yankees out-pitched, I believe they were out-managed/coached. Because everybody including the Yankees thought this was going to be an easy series and win for them, they did not gear up like they could have. It's up to the manager not to let that mentality of "we are way better" get to their head. I don't think Joe Torre rallied the troops like he could have done.
If George fires him, I think it will be an even 50-50 in deciding if it is a good or bad decision.

Torre should have gotten the axe years ago. Unfortunately King George likes him so he keeps Torre in the dugout. It's not that he's a bad manager, the problem is he's a so-so manager. As far as replacing him, it will happen during this off-season, the Yanks might bring back Buck Schowalters.

Let's bring back Don Zimmer, he could never win a World Series as a manager with the Red Sox. He'll fit in real well with you losers. Then when the Yankees play the Mets, we'll watch Pedro kick Zimmer's *** again!

JOE MUST GO! He had a great run, but it's over. Time to bring in some fresh meat. I guess i'm rooting for Lou P.

Joe Giraldi...
Not to Lou... He didn't do NOTHING for the Devil Rays and not much for the Mariners and barely anything for the Reds.

No one! Joe Torri is one of the best managers of all time. Anyone would be crazy to get rid of him.
