If you are from a poor family and your parents dont know too much about colleges, you need to find a mentor - some trusted adult who knows how colleges work.
Do you think that any teacher in your school went to UMichigan? You should get to know that teacher and tell them your dream. I bet they will help you make progress toward getting there.
Money should not be a problem. If you live in Michigan you can go to school at UMich fairly cheaply, and you can get a job on campus when you are in school and take out some loans. If your family doesnt have much money, you might be able to get a scholarship that you dont have to pay back. But you will need to get good marks in school.
When you are in high school, hang out with the smart kids. Join the clubs the smart kids join, like debate, theater, science club. Don't hang out with the losers or you will become a loser.
You already have the most important thing that is needed - ambition. Keep sight of your dream and work hard. You can do it!
Go for it!!!!

About 10 years ago I heard of an enterprising youth who, started his own lanscaping business. Nothing hi-tech, just mowing lawns weeds etc. But the main thing was he committed to it. By the time he was 16 he was a millionaire from mowing lawns surely if you find a way to make money and stick to it you can earn enough to go to college. At the same time research every single scholarship you can think of. If your physically fit try a sports scholarship. With anything in this world the amount of talent is not always key to being great. Its the amount of focus, study, determination and time spent practicing.
I look at it this way, th place kickers in the NFL, can hit field goals from 50-60 yards out sometimes more, but they miss alot and it makes me laugh. Its such a focused task it should be near impossible to fail at. If any human spent the time every day to to stretch and strengthen their leg and kicked field goals say just 100 a day every day for what (3-4 yrs till you go to college) you should be able to make like 100, 50 yrd field goals in a row. I think that would be impressive enough to get a scholorship especially if the last couple years you got on a high school team and had some presence of kicking with incoming bodies. Plus a high school team with a kicker who could put it through from over 50 wouldn't lose much lol. Case in point I am short fat and not limber at all and I can put it thru from 40 untrained and unpracticed so all it would take was 2-3 yrs of stretching and focusing until it became an auto body function. Good luck whichever route you take.

Your GPA depends on your teachers' grading scales; on the standard grading scale, 90% is an A-, which rounds to an A when calculating GPA, so you would have a 4.0 if all your grades for the semester were >90%. You should try to work harder to maintain a 4.0 and get involved in clubs with scholarship opportunities... Otherwise, loans, loans, loans! Try seeing your high school guidance counselor for help. I'm 15, so I kinda understand what you're going through... Good luck!
