#1 I'll never forget when the Space Shuttle Challenger blew up. having been to the Cape and seen a shuttle in person, I was always in awe. When the shuttle blew up in 1985, I was dumbstruck and saddened to the point of tears.
#2: 9/11: Nothing needs to be described here....
#3: (tie) When Princess Di got married. As a 13 year old, I was madly in love with her. Then again when she died...I was stuck on the tv watching the funeral

The first to make an impact on me was when President Kennedy was assassinated. Others would be man walking on the moon, the Challenger disaster, the wedding and funeral of Princess Diana, 9/11/2001

When Burton Cummings came out on American Music Awards
as a solo act to perform his newly released song "Stand Tall" &
was wearing a tux with tails and the song was so beautiful he
got a standing ovation from his musical peers. This was long
before Michael did the moonwalk.

for me it was many years ago at the Oscars during the height of the "Streaker" phenomenon, when a streaker ran out on stage during the live broadcast while David Niven (that archetype of dry British wit) was about to introduce someone. Niven looked at the streaker and simply said, "isn't it a shame the way some people have to publicly display their shortcomings?" I'll never forget it.

Del boy falling through the hatch makes me cry even after seeing it dozens of times.
most recently the ten oclock news reporting that Hammond had had a serious accident, thankfully he is ok now but waiting til blood in the wire finished to find out what had happened was nerve wracking.

Unfortunately, it would have to be the planes flying into the twin towers on 9/11. I will never forget that for the rest of my life.
Horrible day...
