turn-off the AC, no fast starts at traffic lights, try not to stop short, too. if ideling for more than a few minutes, turn the car off. take extra weight out of your trunk.

Don't think you can. The only way is to buy a more fuel-efficient car or a hybrid. They get around 35-60 mpg in the city.

y dont u try to ask experts in the cars like a automobile shop...you may try these fuel saver stuff these things do really work..you can buy a hybrid car it saves fuel or the cheapest is to shift into diesel....:)

Don't overuse your heating or cooling. Don't accelerate and brake too much when it's not necessary. Buy the gasoline that is meant for your car (many run best on 87 octane). Good luck!

regular maintenance, engine in proper tune, proper tire pressures and alignment, remove excess weight from vehicle like all the junk you really do not need in the trunk, slow acceleration and deceleration.

over inflate tires a bit. softer start on green lights. run yellows.(look both ways for safety)
