Funny way of asking the question, since the Republicans are currently running government. The tax cuts they passed did not go to "wage earners", they went to the top 2% richest people and corporations in the world. All we got was higher gas prices. And Bush has not once vetoed a Republican-congress spending bill...

By the way, with all the deficit spending the Republicans have been doing to prosecute an endless war, leading to record deficits...who is going to pay that bill? Typically, the Republicans run up the tab and then criticize the Democrats for paying the check...dont you think this is a bit disingenuous?

Sure would be refreshing it a dittohead actually did homework on an issue before blathering it out attached to an insult about the Democrats...

Do you particularly think of that each and every physique undesirable want the Democrats stealing money from the wealthy to offer to them? I even have customary what this is to be undesirable. I even have additionally considered human beings do genuinely not something wiht their lives on account that they had that government examine coming in the mail the 1st of each and each month. I even have considered human beings "make up" each and every way of disease under the solar, and study well-being Journals like some study the Bible to ascertain what ailment would have brought about their contemporary discomfort in the side, or sore decrease back, in order that they'd circulate to the well-being care provider once or twice a month mutually as claiming a scientific incapacity to get that government examine. i don't begrudge every person it particularly is rather disabled getting help, becuase I even have almost an 80% listening to incapacity myself, (which i'm getting not something for by making use of the way), yet I even have considered too lots benefit taking in us of a of america. i'm not wealthy, in certainty many might in all possibility not even think of i replaced into midsection classification, yet i don't think in the way Democrats pit the undesirable against the wealthy as though it is the wealthy's fault that somebody else is undesirable! it is not only the wealthy and midsection classification that think of this is shameful and disgusting!

You've got it all wrong. I have profited from the Bush Administration: I've made a fortune, and been exempt from tax. Even so I know that they have been crazy, stupid, that they've favored the very rich only.

The fact is that living standards for the middle class have fallen simply because the value of the dollar has fallen, so their wages haven't kept pace with costs.

And it will get worse: because the US Government has run a huge deficit and because interest rates are rising, there will be further depreciation of the currency. This will hit people on fixed incomes most of all.

Inflation is a hidden tax.

The irony of it is that traditionally the Republicans -- Reagan Republicans -- were the party of balanced budgets and Democrats were profligate. Now it's the other way 'round.

Aren't democrats the ones trying to raise the minimum wage?

But you are talking about taxes aren't you? Let's see, I guess you aren't talking about Clinton's Earned Income Tax Credit though. You are probably thinking of the democrats who voted against Bush's ENORMOUS tax cut for the top 2% of Americans. Yes those fat cats are the real "wage earners" in this country.

I promise you, if Bush put forth a tax cut that targeted only the poor and lower middle class, every single Dem would vote for it. They just don't like giving tax breaks to really rich folks.

Your question is intellectually dishonest.

Heres a good story in my local paper of the new minimum wage hike partially to blame for this local business closing. Only high school kids flipping burgers and ringing up cash registers at gas stations make minimum wage.

Democrats don't understand economics and more specifically tax brackets. You can't cut taxes to the poor and middle class and not the "rich".It just doesn't work that way. So their uneducated comments are really on parade

Why do Republicans believe in the illogical and discredited theory of supply side or trickle down economics? Tax cuts are given to rich individuals and corporations and supposedly they reinvest this money in the economy and create jobs. What are they really doing? Shipping jobs, including good tech jobs, to the third world! In the meantime, the US government is amassing huge debt because it is spending 400 billion or more each year than it takes in. This is sound economic policy?

This looks like a statement disguised as a question. Many dems believe in fair taxation and a balanced federal budget.

The current administration gives tax cuts that mostly benefit the wealthiest Americans and big corporations, while borrowing billions from foreign countries to run the government.

If you used these same methods for your personal finances, you'd be in serious trouble.

we democrats believe in tax cuts for middle class and lower class people. bill clinton lowered their taxes many times in his presidency. however, we believe raising taxes for the wealthiest 2% because it gives the Gov. more tax revenue to create useful entitlements and social programs like the americorps. balancing the budget and decreasing the national debt illustrates fiscal responsiblity and lowers interest rates. all that stimulates the economy. look at your history books. president reagan ALSO raised taxes a few times in his presidency. it's essential to have a strong economy.

Money is freedom.
The higher taxes, the less freedom working people have.
The less freedom working people have, the more power Democrats have.
Keep people down, keep them poor, keep them in their place.
