There would not be enough time in 24 hours for the things that i would like to change, poverty would be somewhere near the top, as would all illness, too many to mention, you would probably, spend hours just thinking what you would like to do.

Put Saddam Hussein and George Bush in a boxing ring. It would solve a lot of problems. Then Tony Blair against that North Korean guy. Then to round it all off, Mr T versus Chuck Norris.
I would eat some pretzels.

Create a congress reality tv show, where cameras would follow them around 24/7......A> it would cut down on the corruption B>It would allow the money being generated from the show to go towards government spending...........C> citizens would be able to vote on a week to week basis on popularity of the politician and it would get every one more familiar with true politics not mudslinging jerry springer politics that it is today......

Re-arange the food production and distribution system of the world to amend the balance between the western world and poverty striken countries. Food will be grown and processed for the singular purpose of supplying the world and not a particular buyer. This will in turn help combat obesity and other health defects related to diet.

Production and use of vehicles with high fuel emissions-all cars will be run on that expensive eco-friendly stuff that BP sell now. This in turn will mean the average person will be unable to afford excessive travel, forcing people to DUN DUN DUUUUUUN.....walk and get a bus.

All guns and firarms will be confiscated and hidden, only to used if aliens finally attack. Everyone will be encouraged to carry swords and crossbows instead.....and wear armor.......YeeHaw

Raise tax slightly and spend the money on children and education.

Jail Bush and Blair.

Wage war on Hamas.

Abolish loan repayments from Africa.

Get all paperwork and materials pertaining to alien beings, alien vehicles and alien planets etc into the public domain.

Criminalise the Freemasons.

Criminalise one party states like China.

Make Tibet a free and independant nation again.

Hold a meeting with every World Leader, not a spokesperson or Ambassador. Lock the door when the meeting begins. I would then ask one question. Do you believe that every person on this earth has the right to exist and "what are you going to do to promote it ?

Force everyone with more money than anyone person could ever really need to put the rest into a communal fund to be shared among those less fortunate.
Make sure everyone in the world had enough to eat & drink.
Execute all criminals on death row to make the prisons less overcrowded.
Pass a law that made it illegal & punishable by death to own a handgun unless you are in the armed forces.

You couldn't really push through legislation in 24 hours. The best thing therefore would be to smash Bush and Blair's heads together at a photocall... And then give them a good shoeing...

I'm absolutely certain I've seen a terrible movie similarly plotted. The name, however, escapes me...

Well, I don't imagine myself doing very much that day, and then, on the 23rd hour, I'd alter the definition of the word "day", and I would rule on indefinitly.....

And.. um, yeah... World Peace and Utopia eternal go without saying...
