it is so unfair that u take out a classy batsman like laxman out of team just because of fielding.
he is gem as a batsman,dont forget his 281 against australia which came out of nowhere
and he is a safe slip fielder

My opinion laxman may be given a chance in odi if he is performing well he can be taken for the world cup .I regard laxman as one of the best cricket player india has produced because he has saved and won us many matches in cricket when the things were not going well for india for ex when australia visited india he scored a gem of 69 runs under unplayable condition which helped to win that match.In Odi he does not have capability to play in slog overs ie go over the top of bowler and score 60 runs in 5 overs when situation demands if he is able todo that and be more consistent in scoring run he may be given a chance.I think he is far much better player than dineshmongia and mohd kaif

While Laxman is no doubt a classy batsman, he style of p,lay is well suited for test cricket and n ot one day cricket. That is the reason why he has been left out of one day squad.

he should first learn to shoulder responsiblities to make him indispensible like dravid /tendulkar /sewagh ,though they have failure they marked as indispensibles in the team its becuse of commitment to learn & adapt to situation , laxman is excellent tallented player on his day there will b no one to beat him , i am fanatic fan of his style of play but needs consistency & need to show more purpose in his existence by being more agile which is his present weakness , but excellent slip fielder . indian team must look to him &support his existence to avoid curtailing cricket fan from nipping the genius in its bud

Yes, i agree with you, there should be permanent seat for laxman in test cricket, but in one day team, he has to prove in domestic cricket

u can't spend whole life by one achievement , u have tobe consistent and physically fit every time ! otherwise there are lot of good young players to replace u !

he is a test player so he could in the team in test matches if he is fit but not in one day matches
