Freya by far, I can't say Flavia without thinking of Flava Flav, and I hate that guy.

Freya is the better of the two.

Honey, please don't name your girl Flavia... sounds a lot like labia... and like it's a labia with flavor (flava).. in short, it is horrible and if I met someone named Flavia, I would make endless jokes about her name.

I like Freya.

I prefer Freya because I never heard it before. Make sure when you pick a name you know it is easily pronounced or change the spelling so it can be. Friends of mine wanted to name their daughter Magi (pronounced ma-jee) but they knew everyone would call her maggie so they changed the spelling to Maji. Be creative and don't let your family or friends have any influence on your decision. It is your child!

i am a substitute teacher and if i saw either of those names on my class list i am not sure i would know how to pronounce them. I have a name that is hard to pronounce and i always hated it when the teacher called out my name and mispronounced it. it always made me feel unimportant and sometimes the other kids would even laugh out loud..
