Because they like donkeys a bit TOO much, if you know what I mean. Christians are weird like that, that's what that line from the Lord's Prayer "And lead us not into temptation..." is all about, it's basically saying "Please don't let anyone bring a donkey into our church because we won't be able to help ourselves." The next thing you know, you've got some kind of donkey "bukkake" situation on your hands, in a house of the Lord too.

If you went to church on a donkey you would be guilty of impersonating the Virgin Mary (especially if you are pregnant!).

I rather suspect that this is a case of local policy as I have seen so many animals brought into churches of different religious denominations for special services that I have lost count of the species.

The same thing happened with my venus fly trap. They said that it was a violation of god's rules or something. They showed me those 2 stones with the rules on them and sure enough, one of them said "Thou shalt not bring venus fly traps into my church." and I looked at them and another one said "Thou shalt not bring donkeys into my church.", however they do allow cows in the church so you can bring a cow in if you want.

If they let a donkey in the church ,then they must let all other animals in ,such as dogs,cats etc.......
