is not the question. or Do I exist. I have a shoulder injury that won't go away so obviously we do, external circumstances to create an internal situation. The question is can we make things exist if they did not before, like flying space clowns. Or are they just a figment of our imagination? And how do we discover new things if they do not originally come from our imagination.

I think you are asking about the purpose of life. (maybe I am wrong there) If you are then I'd suggest you check the blog links below, and maybe add your comments there too, if you like and are able to.
One blog is titled "Does it really make a difference to Isaac Newton or da Vinci or Galileo or Napoleon or Hitler?" and the other "Ponderings"

Superb question. Did you know that the Xerox corporation stated that computers will never be needed by people at home, and therefore passed on making the home computer? And if I am correct, Thomas Jefferson even stated, "Everything that could have been invented has been invented". Sounds like these people didn't dream big enough. Ultimately the answer to your question is that anything is possible, you just have to see how it comes to you. Maybe you'll find a solution to a need that has been presented to you.

With that kind of thinking you will never find an answer to anything because answers do not exist either. Yahoo is a figment of your imagination as well.

No you have not become enlightened.

This is probably one of the oldest questions since humankind became sentient. Descartes posited, "cogito, ergo sum", which on the surface appeared to state "I think, therefore I am". However this did not answer the question of a material reality versus illusion of reality. It simply stated that since we do seem to think, we base our actions on the premise we are real. There really is no definitive answer on nihilism vs materialism. Most of simply accept the material plane of existence and attempt to interact with it.

All the new creations are simply innovations. While we didn't have home computers, or even space flight when I was born, the creative spark made those things possible. And the creative sparks comes from asking questions and attempting to provide order to, and influence on, one's reality.
