I know it is somewhere in the exhaust.I just picked this car up late last night and the woman had it checked and they told her the O2 sensor was bad.A quick peek under the hood and I didn't see it.3100,automatic.Is it under the car?

Not a Quad Four, it's a 3100 v-6

Yes it is under the car. There should be more than one 02 sensor though. The only way to really see if it is bad is to buy a chiltons or a similar type repair manual for your car. You can buy them at a parts store and check the ohms using a fluke meter. Take out each sensor and check the continuity of each one. If it is within tolerance of what it says in the manual than it's good and if not then replace it. By the way you will need to also purchase a 02 sensor socket if you can't break it loose with a wrench. Hope this helps you.

What motor is in the car? If it is the Quad Four it is right behind the motor on the exhaust manifold. It is sticking straight up and has only one wire. Hope I have been helpful.
