At 1.9GHz, this is about 3.1 inches (7.9cm) for half wave dipole in free space.

1.9 Ghz? wow u r using microwave and it is usually not suitable for because the antenna will be very small.

Use v=fl

l= ((3x10*8) / (1.9x10*9))/ 2

=0.08m

So as you see it's not suitable, you should use dish
