"losing with pride is better than winning with disgrace"

wot r ur thoughts bout this? do u think its right or wrong?

NOTE: I DO NOT MEAN ANY OFFENCE TO ANYONE AND THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH ANY MATCHES PLAYED IN THE PAST BY ANY TEAM!

Was Touzours up all night trying to think of excuses for Frances loss???
Doesn't surprise me , the coach already made a fool of himself publicly!!!
Touzours wake up and smell the coffee!!!!

BTW: Italy won 4 times with pride!!

Yes that quote is meaningfull when it comes from honest people not from the French always trying to manipulate!
mimi...this answer is for Touzours, I know he's making you ask these questions!

I think it is great!!!

If a match was fixed and a team only won because of it then surely they can not win with pride...conversely, if a team goes out onto the field and plays their best, yet still looses then surely they have lost with pride...

well, in this troubled time, people focus more on winning no matter what it will cost them (dignity, honour, pride- these qualities confer to a person to be trustworthy). unfortunately, these qualities are lost in common people, and it's very rare to find them.
but sometimes we must learn to lose without any grief because this loss could hide a higher benefit that is waiting for us in the future.
i think that's the hidden meaning of this quote.

Its so meaning ful.So touching

It reminds me of the World Cup 2006 finals.Italy won but by forgetting the ethics of the game .The glory(i know they lost their glory by their foul play) of the World Cup was tainted with Matarazzi's foul mouth. While France lost playing their best with dignity and honour.

Allez Les Bleus!
