I know the usual way of going to internet options and all, but somehow I think its a bug or virus or something that prevents me from loading my homepage (yahoo.com). I want to know how do I get rid of it? Because the page says bogus things like " your pc is infected with a virus" blah blah and they will write my supposed ip address there and what Im using to load internet. I am using IE but they wrote Im using mozilla so its obviously a fake right.
So, hope you guys can help.

Your PC is infectd with a browser hijacker.
Like adware and spyware, a browser hijacker may be installed as part of freeware installation. In this case, the browser hijacker is probably mentioned in the user agreement -- although, obviously, not identified as a browser hijacker. The problem is that users typically either ignore the fine print or only give it a cursory reading. A browser hijacker may also be installed without user permission, as the result of an infected e-mail, a file share, or a drive-by download. To avoid contamination, experts advise users to read user agreements carefully, and to be cautious about freeware downloads and e-mail messages from unknown sources.
Here is a list of free scans.I would recommend running ewido first.

Dear,
Step 1: Download and install AVG anti spyware program available at www.ewido.net and update the software.Run a complete scan and delete the whole bugs found.
Still the problem persists..continue to..
Step 2: Run a full system virus scan using Norton antivirus & remove the virus/trojans incase found.

Try free Avast and SuperAntispyware both of them are very good, they have both helped me out alot, don't pay for these though the free software is the best and is not bloated with nonsense, I had your very same problem when I had the ones you pay for plus I had root viruses that I had to pay alot of money to a tech to get it off, he told me the free ones are the best virus security software, you can get both at Download.com this site is trustworthy and you won't get a virus downloading anything been using that site for years and have had no problems also another program that is very nice is CCleaner this will cleanup your computer and it will run like new, I've used it a few times on my computer and it runs beautifully, I love all three of them.

the quick way is using equipment fix to bypass again to a ordinary good time once you would possibly want to apply each and every thing. The use a good anti spyware application like spybot S&D or adaware SE (i exploit both!) to rid your self of the spyware that hijacked your browser. to apply systeme fix: commence->all classes->upload-ons->equipment equipment->equipment fix. to be certain extra about adawareSE and Spybot S&D see the reference lower than for a listing of web content that communicate both.

in addition to the answers above, I think u should start using mozilla. It is more (but not perfectly) secure then IE. This is from my experience. You are less vulnerable when using Mozilla..
