Imagine that a little baby has asked you a question: “What is a free country?” How would you answer?

Well, to explain all the nuances of what connotes freedom to you would not mean very much to a child, who will be essentially not able to exercise any of those freedoms for themselves for eighteen or so years.

Very much like the Middle East culture does not understand the meaning of the word "freedom" or the word "democracy" as we do. Their culture is much more about single leader RULE, and honor and vengence. To even get them to agree that "rights" and "responsibilities" are part of a "free and democratic society" is an exercise in futility. Once the other world leaders expend some effort to understand the cultural differences and how profound they are, then we are finally on the first step of a long road to some sort of resolution, but in my opinion, I don't think our western leaders have even the slightest clue, nor any desire to educate themselves, they are lowering themselves to the level of the tribal culture by kicking a** and taking names rather than work toward a real resolution.
