I usually am the first one to get game systems, but I am starting to wonder if it is worth paying 4 to 6 hundred for the PS3 coming out in November. Plus I'm not even adding in tax or not to mention the games. Should I just be patient until the price gets lower? I still have plenty of great PS2 games I havent finished. Then again I dont want to miss the opportunity and have to wait unitl they get restocked. Plus I'm going back overseas at the end of Nov, so who knows when I will get one.

According to a CNN news report, sony was having problems with PS 3's overheating at the tokyo toy show two weeks ago. Now as you may or may not know, sony had huge overheating issues with the PS 1 when it first came out and sony vehemently denied that there was an issue with the systems. The PS 2 were/are notorious for skipping and freezing. They were also known to have what has been termed "Disc read Errors" when inserting games, the ps 2 didn't or couldn't recognize the game and/or dvd movie discs.
So you may want to wait a few months after launch before purchasing a ps 3. At $499 and $599, that's a huge amount of money to pay for something that has defects right out of the box.

Idon't know man it's a tough question because ounce you get and have it for a few years the new one might come out and PS3 will become obsolete so it's your choice I have a PS2 and I'm not changing until I see a system Ilike not just because they changed the color and added some internet features to it

no 2 reasons
1)the price
2) very few games for it
wait 6 months or so then buy a used one and there should be a good selection of games

one it is not coming out now untill march 07 as i am interested in one but i would wait a few mionths after launch date they will go down in price for sure just be patient i am going to try as it will safe money in the long run

everyone knows theres ganna be flaws then theyll take all the back send out batter 1s and sell them again its wat happened when the ps2 came out so no u shouldnt unless u like confussin
