Yes, we owe a debt to our seniors for the wisdom and way of life they have passed on to us, we owe are vets for risking it all, the disabled and the impovershed children desirve quality care, espically since we can plunder the tax payer with foregion aide to other countries, we should take care of our own first. While I bitcah a lot about my taxes dollars being waisted on pork, waitful spending like the new gold leafed playing cards for airforce 2, I don't mind helping Americans who are in need

Just to let you "in the know" programs and benefits have been greatly reduced for us veterans, certain drugs have been pulled off the shelf deemed too expensive "the ones that worked the best" and now if your disability is non service connected "even if you did your time in military service" you have to take a means test to see if you still qualify every 6 months, so what rights have been taken away? plenty and more to follow if things don't change fast!

Definitely the main point is the saving to the health system. Provide the drugs freely and you reduce the numbers of people developing complication which put them into high dependency hospital. Look at the Australian health system and the PBS system where the generic drugs are put on a public list that is made available to the sick. This method saves the hospital system big dollars due to prevention.

In Canada , how much you pay is determined by your income and whether or not you have extra health benefits not covered by province you live in. Ohip pays for my eye exams as I am diabetic and legally blind , I pay 2.oo per prescription dispensing fee as opposed to six for seniors or higher for others. I think most people have a 100 dollar deductible first.
Some young children's meds are covered by their parents ' plans and health plan from the government, same with seniors although less drugs are covered for them which is not good.

If not free then at a very little out of pocket cost to them.
More seniors than not end up having to decide whether to buy their meds or pay the heating bill or rent, and that's just not right in this day and age.
The government needs to be toppled and we should try again to get some one with a little common sense in the offices that they hold.

No. relating to the only issues which would be effected would be us of a parks, museums and libraries. government close down did no longer paintings for Republicans final time and it won't this time. All it is is political grand status on their area and a huge gamble to apply scare strategies from their scare strategies play e book. If that wasn't the case you does not be asking this question. SIGNED: Democrat. "worry monger"? you identify.

Yes. If they are unable to take care of themselfs then someone has too. I'm not talking about lazy no good people who want to abuse the system. I'm talking about seniors who paid their social security and took care of their familys, and children who can't fend for themselfs, and vet's. who fought for us. They all should be taken care of and with the price of medication and dr. visits they can't do it alone.
