Think about the following: Have you changed makeup, shampoo, soap or detergent lately? You could be having a reaction to a new beauty product or cleanser.
Are you stressed out? Changes in your job or studies? Relationship or family trouble? Do what you can to eliminate stress. Cut back on caffiene and chocolate, soda counts too! Make sure you get enough sleep, and drink plenty of water. And make sure you follow the dr's orders...if you don't get some relief, go back and tell him it's not working.

OK, that exact same thing has started happening to me, first, think about your routine during the day, like whether you are doing anything to damage your skin, like over exfoliating etc.
Then I also think lack of sleep does not help. It makes your skin really worn looking, and pores get wider, and it goes all SPAZ.
Another thing NOt to do, is use concealer on it, becasue that is only clogging the pores, and trapping the dirt and stuff.
For years I only used soap and water and that kept my skin clear, but now that is NOT worknig, so I've bought some skin cleansers.
Get Boots cucumber cleansers, they have TONS of stuff (cleanser, toner, wipes, moisturiser) and use it every morning and night.
Also, recently I have strted giving myself 'facials'. I boil the kettle put the water in a bowl, and steam my face with a towel over my head. This opens the pores, and encourages the dirt to come out, then I cleanse my skin, and use TEA TREE spot stick, which is fabulous.
Next morning your spots will have become whitheads and then (not this may sound grss, but I use different tweezers for my eyebrows) I squeeze tham with tweezers with pointed ends, and it brings all the gunk out. Then STRAIGHT away zap it with spot stick, and voila.
AND WASH EVERY MORNING AND NIGHT, spots come so quickly and easily...

Can you follow the skin care routine everyday.
For a compleate skin care, all types of skins need regular cleansing, toning and moisturizing. But select appropriate cleanser, toner and moisturizer according to your skin type.
Cleansing: Clean the face with good cleanser. While cleansing the pores on the skin opens.and remove dirt and excess oil from the skin.
Toning: Drop a little toner in a cotton and wipe through the face in circular motion. While doing this skin pores are closed back to its original state.
Moisturizing: After every cleansing and toning use moisturizer also. It will retain moisture level of the skin.
If you want to use other make up do it between toning and moisturizing.

you know Ive been having the same problem recently, my skin has been clear (I'm 21) all my life and I'm getting loads of spots on my cheeks. Ive been drinking loads of water and cleansing my skin morning and night and they are going away. I use a astringent as well after cleansing only on my cheeks to get rid of excess oil.
and if you know anyone that works in a hospital or who has a chemist then ask them to get 'HIBI SCRUB' for you. its a strong skin cleanser and it is really good at clearing up spots-even acne. what ever you do don't use makeup over the area because it will block up the pores and make your spots worse.

You might have changed your washing powder and your pillow case is irritating you skin ! People forget how long one is laying in bed exposed to all sort of things you are not aware of ! So start changing things on those lines before you take any chemicals from your doctor which again will have side effects !

Drink plenty of water and green tea, detox. Aids the symptoms of depression too.
