Because society has it set in our heads that if you have a crappy lookin car, your not worth anything. Why are we not worth anything, because they believe that we do not make good money or we have bad credit. Its kind of stupid actually. If it runs fine and gets you from point A to point B don't worry about it.
I have a 93' Ford Escort Wagon. The hood front bumper, and left fender panel is white and the rest of it is blue. And you should see the looks i get. I just put on a big ole smile and go on.

If it's only "cosmetic" issues and runs fine mechanically, then you are above their comments. Frugality is a good thing.

People that call it that probably have 500.00 a month payments,they work 6 days a week just to keep that vehicle in thier possesion and insured. Don't let it bother you,I don't.

people who are jealous or people who have something to gain will say negative things to you to get a reaction. Dont give them any reaction and you are the winner! It will cook them inside as you have shown no emotion!
