firstly, to get 16 hrs... 578.20/38*16 = 243.45

and at %50 of the normal rate... 243.45/2=121.70

However, I will note that this will differ slightly in reality, as the normal hourly rate that I found from your information was 15.2157...

Probably best to find out the hourly rate first : )

divide 578.20 by 38 to see what the hourly wage is at 100%.
should be 28.91 an hour.
Then divide 28.91 by 2 for 50% of normal rate. should be 14.45
Then multiply 14.45 by 16 for hours per week. should be 231.28 m

I wish I get that kind of wages.
Well, 38 hours work equals £ 578.20.
so, 1 hour work equals 578.20 divided by 38.
578.20/38 = 15.22.
As you get only 50% the wage, 15.22 divided by 2 is £7.61
In other words, 15.22 x (50/100) = 7.61
As you work 16 hours/week, you would get 7.61x16 = 121.76 per week

So you will get (578.20 / 2) * (16 / 38) = £121.73.
