I agree why can't we show it on T.V. it might help to cut down on a lot of killings, rapings,and kidnappings if it could be showen this way every one could see what a person, go's through when being put to death. Yup I agree show it all.

a) Doctrine has moved away from the death penalty as an exemplar deterrent. So no more gruesome and spectacular executions, no more public executions, no more exposition of the bodies of the executed. Putting those on TV would be regarded as a step back toward barbarity.
b) Nowadays, most executions are by injection. Nothing worth watching. Now, if you were to move back to hanging, and beheading, and breaking, and cutting off body parts...

Politics. It would probably be some kind of scare tatic for people thinking of doing crime that carries the death penalty. People don't have to watch, but it will probably never happen. Wishful thinking.
