I need the name of the hose that goes from the drier/acumulator to the a/c compressor on my 1997 ford taurus sho. I went to a friends house and he told me that the hose was leaking but he didnt know the name of it. In the link below is a picture of the drier with the hose i dont need but the one that is missing in the picture is the onw i need. I just dont knwo where to find the name to this hose.

hose names in a a/c system is as follows.
from compressor to condensor is called a Discharge line
from condensor to to evaporator is called a liquid line
from accumulator to compressor is called a suction hose
some vehicles have what is called the manifold hose which is usually a 2 piece hose with a discharge and suction hose built onto the compressor manifild block
your particular cars suction hose comes with the accumulator only

You don't need to know the name of it. At the dealership or auto club that you take your vehicle to they have a computer and it will show exactly what part it is. Also look for some numbers on the hose if it has any that's legible that is your part number and that's all they need to know to replace it. If you are buying a cheaper hose they can cross-referance the number and find out what part you need regaurdless what brand it is.
