An object that appears black to the eye does not reflect electromagnetic radiation in the visible range. It will absorb most of it. It might be reflecting radiation of other frequencies. Additionally, it might emit radiation outside the visible range (ex. infrared), by utilising the energy absorbed in the visible range.

The black body defined in Physics completely absorbs radiation of all frequencies.

Black bodies apear black because they absorb all or most light energy falling on them, reflecting none or very little of it. They are excellent absorbers of energy with 'absorptivity near 1.

This energy is absorbed by the molecules of the body and converted to heat energy. So, a black article- eg cloth, cookong utensil bottom, etal get heated very fast.

Now, Black bodies are also excellent emitters of energy (emissivity closeto 1). The excess heat is passed off to nearby bodies/ atmosphere very fast, thus cooling it. eg- a black stonegets heated very fast in sunlight, but cools off equally fast too.

Apply law of conserv,
1 LIGHT TO KINETIC ENERGY OF ATOMS OF CLOTH
2 K.E CAUSES INT OF ELECTRONS AND THEY ABSORB ENERGY SINCE NO UTILIZATION OF THIS ENERGY GET LOSTED IN FORM OF HEAT
APPLY GOOD ABSORBER IS BLACK BODY
now ur askin abt heat so heat energy is 30 .% losted in environme and rest is again taken up by black mat
thatswhy black dresses get more heated than white
1 more concept blacknotemi

Practically ,,,,,, perfect black body which absorb 100% of heat radiation does not exist,,,,,,, at all

it absorb almost 97% of heat radiation but to certain extent,,,,,,, it will absorb the heat radiation to certain extent,,,,,, and after that,,,,, it will start reflecting heat radiation,,,,,
