My notebook is using the Windows XP Home Edition Operating System. Last week, I found out that half of my picture files had gone missing which is roughly ard 90 files. On top of that, the Calculator and Paint exe. files were also found missing. Can Anyone tell me what is the cause of this?

virus dude. try to reformate the harddisk and reinstall widnows. remeember to backup your remaining files first

Maybe your notebook has infected by some virus. You'd better check it. Some viruses could delete datas on your notebook.

First thing you should do is to recover disappeared files and then install antivirus.

Check yor cpu fan... if it works properly then findout if the mouse working the way it must be or not.

There is a virous in your mechine. You should first find it using your anti-virous software. then remove it.
