How Do I recruite in a dungeon?

first, you need the friend area of the targeted pokemon.

if you want a spearow, you need the ravaged plains area from wigglytuff.

next, you need to have the leader of your group deliver the last attack on the targeted pokemon, AND the leader needs to be on a square next to that pokemon

if you follow everything so far, there is a CHANCE that the pokemon will be so impressed that you beat his butt so bad, he'll ask to join your team. but remember, it's only a chance that they might join you.

the best way to raise the chance % that you recruit successfully is by being much higher level than the pokemon you wish to recruit. equipping the friend bow helps too, but that's an item you get only after getting REALLY far into the game.
