After spending all of my savings on an absolute worthless attorney, is there anyway I can find out information myself about my ex-husband. He lied in court about his assets and my attorney was too lazy to check it out, therefore, I got "screwed". My ex has a lot of money, cars, livestock, etc. (just go to his residence and you can see all of it), but lied in court and said he only had a couple of vehicles (when he has 7), no livestock (when he has several very expensive horses), etc. I would like to go back to court again but do not have any more funds to pay for an attorney. Do I have to have an attorney and how can I find out exactly what my ex has in assets? He goes on trips to Europe all the time with his girlfriends, but doesn't want to take care of his 11 year old son. The court didn't make him pay for our son's medical insurance either. I make $22,000 a year and my ex makes $100,000 a year but was ordered to only pay $450.00/month in child support.

Actually 450 a month for one child isnt bad at all.You will need an attorney unless you go threw the child support recovery unit and they do investigate the assets, however I dont think that they will raise this much if any higher. There are state guidelines to go threw and unfortunately that is what they go on even more so than what he makes.I can read between the lines here and I know you are still hurt but I suggest you do your best to move on.Find happiness and a true love, the right person is out there somewhere just waiting for you-Good luck-oh and also you can try free legal services

450.00 IS enough....he's paying right? Who cares where he goes with his girlfriend, its his life...he's allowed to have one. He's not going to sit at home thinking of new ways to send you money and hoe he misses you. SO get over it. Support your son, be grateful that you receive what you do and get a better job so you dont have to depend on men anymore
