I cant decide between the 2 machines. They were both brilliant.

I loved em both.
The SNES for Super Mario & Street Fighter 2.
The Mega Drive for Flashback, Road Rash & the helicopter Strike games.

The Megadrive. Although the SNES was technically better in some respects, eg. number of colours, special effects, the Megadrive's processor was approximately twice the speed of the SNES's and some equally great-looking games were squeezed out of the Megadrive. (though the SNES Donkey Kong Country beats everything of the console era graphically).

WAS! you mean still is... you can't beat the old retro console/games but this is a Tricky one..... ok..... Mega Drive, reasoning, the turn around and availability for mega drive games are much higher in games stores where they trade in the old retro games, and most good game stores have a vast collection of mega drive games, the games for the mega drive tend to keep a good value through its life span, the console itself is more reliable and can be easily repaired, but the SNES console and games on the other hand are obsolete and extremely hard to repair, and games are very few and far between to find.

Super Nintendo. Castlevania IV, Metroid, Zelda, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Killer Instinct. Ahhh...so many good games!

tough choice.on one you had sonic the other mario,but for me the snes just clinches it,because on games that you could get foe both it was better,martal kombat 2 on snes was way better than megadrive,and you could'nt even get primal instinct on megadrive which was a brilliant game in its time.
