Hey @reil,

Dan Brown dominated the list with The Da Vinci Code, Angels & Demons and Digital Fortress in the top 5. According to one site.

Another, the New York Times, divides into categories:
HARDCOVER FICTION
Top 5 at a Glance
1. FOR ONE MORE DAY, by Mitch Albom
2. THE THIRTEENTH TALE, by Diane Setterfield
3. UNDER ORDERS, by Dick Francis
4. THE ROAD, by Cormac McCarthy
5. THE BOOK OF FATE, by Brad Meltzer

HARDCOVER NONFICTION
Top 5 at a Glance
1. CULTURE WARRIOR, by Bill O’Reilly
2. STATE OF DENIAL, by Bob Woodward
3. THE GREATEST STORY EVER SOLD, by Frank Rich
4. SAVING GRACES, by Elizabeth Edwards
5. I FEEL BAD ABOUT MY NECK, by Nora Ephron

So, it depends on who you listen to, NYT would be good. Then what do you like, fiction or non.

Personally, The Da Vinci Code did it for me. You have to be able to deal with fictionalizing religion. But the chase is constant, the puzzle keeps getting more complicated, and the characters get developed quite well in the beginning.
