Ventures.....recorded over 250 albums
During the 60's, the Ventures outsold the Beatles in Japan 2 to 1! They, more than anyone else, are America's ambassadors of Rock and Roll to the non-English speaking world.
The Ventures have sold to date at least 90 million albums (and probably more!) , many of them overseas -40 million plus in Japan alone.
Even more ironic is the fact that the Rock Hall of Fame in Cleveland has to date failed to induct the Ventures, even though they are the World's all time #1 rock instrumental group!

I believe it's Scorpions and Queen. They are not considered as big as Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple and Black Sabbath, but i believe they all are equal. In fact i like most Scorpions music, than Zeppelin's blues based music. But this is different foe everyone you know. I also agree with rswdew. Iron Maiden is for me the greatest Metal Band Ever. They ve got unbelievable music, lyrics, imagination, etc. For me only Yngwie Malmsteen and Children of Bodom are better than Iron Maiden.....

Shes not a band, but Eva Cassidy. She was amazing, but noone took andy notice of her. Also, The Beautiful South...fantastic lyrics and smiling songs

v.v'.... whatever. I think Nine Inch Nails' greatness is dismissed in this world where such an alternative sound doesn't quite fit into mainstream music. Trent Reznor is a f*cking genius!!!
