Put me down as an AGREED please - oh - and I don't give a fannies stuff if it DOES give offence - if they don't like it here, then go away. Problem solved. Easy innit!!!!!!!!!
I couldn't care less about football but I was the first round here to fly the St Georges' Flag when that all started, and I make sure that I have a big sign in my front windows at Christmas-time proclaiming the fact that it IS Christmas with all the pretty lights and reindeers even though I'm hardly what you'd call religious.
I work on the basis that it's MY country, and within reason I'll do what I think and NOT what the PC merchants, do-gooders and half-baked racists would like me to do.
See - now you've started me off!!!!!!!! - and on a Sunday too !!!!! Now it'll be too late for me to go to Church in my gas guzzling 4x4, and even if I did I wouldn't be able to park anywhere near because the roads there are full of even bigger, mainly German cars all parked near that funny shaped pink building with all the funny shaped steeples and crowns on top - a bit like an old wedding cake. I'll just have to pop down the pub instead. 'Bye!!!!

No Offence taken. My question to you, are you hundred percent happy about the performance of your government, health care, some schools, traffic, weather, some neighbours, ....It is human nature to complain most of the time and the reason is WE are all looking forward for the better. Most educated foreigners got no problem with St Georges Flag, exchange Christmas card with their friends and neighbours. About dress code in school, I believe it is a different issue, if a girl or two in some class rooms wear headscarf why does it bother you? if a Sikh student still wearing his school uniform just wearin a turban, why it upset you? I agree all foreigners in UK should respect the law of the country, respect people culture, habits and tradition, but do not expect me as a foreigner who moved from Europe or another country after an interview and a job contract to salute your flag every morning or sing "God save the Queen before going to bed"!!! I still respect the Queen though!

I am not a foreigner, but you'll find that the PC people who bring about these issues (St George's Flag, Shop navitity scenes etc) are british people who think they are doing minority groups a favour.

People who have immigrated here don't start protesting about our way of life, it's our own ministers and people with influence. This in turn then makes british people angry against foreigners and also makes foreigners angry becuase things are happenning in their name which they haven't requested.

I am non believer when it comes to religion, but I know that some people hold religion close to their heart (for centuries people have died for their religion) so when it comes to dress regulations in schools, small things like wearing a head scarf, a crucifix or turban small allowances can be made.

They question about "why stay" can also be applied to UK nationals, if certain people don't like laws/policies adopted by our democratic represntative government they should leave and go live where they do agree with policies.

We should stop seeing each other as us and them, whether the divid be religion, race, or nationality. Every human should have the same rights and be valued the same.

It's a bit of a shame that you can't even SPELL the name of our country - that kind of suggests you aren't that proud of it. I bet you don't even know when a Union Flag is upside down either. Equally, there are another seven spelling or grammatical mistakes (ignoring the text-speak). An awful lot of immigrants are absolutely 100% adept at writing our native language.

That aside, I agree with the question, and for some to say others are oppressed in their countries is NOT a reason for them to be in the UK.

We have 60 million people - New Zealand, the same size, has 4 million. Belarus, bigger, has 12 million. We do NOT have room for ALL of the oppressed in the world. Indeed, our services such as schools and hospitals are struggling (and some would say failing) to cope with the people we have.

It is a very legitimate statement - If you do not like our culture please go and live in a country which has a culture that you do like. There are enough people who DO enjoy Britain without those who don't living here.

I read that because there are so many different cultures in the UK today that we should respect each other that's all b*llocks, these people that came flooding in here taking homes, jobs, then have the cheek to criticise everything, they were not invited over here by the ordinary person but by a misguided government who are only just realising the gravity of the situation and the mistake they made.

Because there must be SOME people with real brains and able to speak and write English properly in Britain to remember that the island once was home to something that could regard itself as a great nation, though how the English could give rise to such a fine language and Shakespeare caliber literary talent is beyond me.

I totally agree with you, born british, this country has gone to the dogs, if we moved to another country could you see them letting us build our christian churches there, If foreigners come here then they should abide by our rules. The trouble with this country is we are such an easy target. The politicians havn't got a clue, just a bunch of idiots who think they know whats best for this country. I say stick a few of them on council estates is east or south london for a week, let them truly see how most of us live in slums that are full of illegles with loads of kids, scrounging off our welfare state. Sorry to go on about it but it just makes me very angry as to why we as british subject have to put up with this.

St George was born in Barnsley in a flat behind Poundstretcher. He became the patron saint of England because he protected christians from persecution. Sounds familiar. Don't bite the hand that feeds you. If your own country doesn't want you.... don't come here causing aggravation with your sometimes ignorant comments.

We are all originally foreigners to start with. Check your history books.
We don't have to wave your flag - you can if you want to, but I'm not going to. And St George never set foot in this country.
As for dress regulations, everyone follows them including Muslims. In schools where I work girls are permitted to wear the veil over their sweatshirts. I see no problem and neither does the school.
You are simply making a mountain out of a molehill. Perhaps if you put your copy of the BNP manifesto down and opened your eyes people are more tolerant than you think.

Because some immigrants have come to this country to avoid being oppressed or worse killed for their beliefs. Unfortunately with people like you (incidentally, well done for waving the St Georges Cross, the symbol of that well known Englishman from Malta) around, its a choice of being oppressed and hated here, or opressed, hated and killed in their own country.
