If it rains heavily during a F1 grand prix will the cockpit of a F1 driver flood?

okey you said the airflow keeps the rain, out of the cockpit, what about the hairpin bent and there are too many slow sector in an F1 circuit.

And someone said the rain will hit the windscreen, but there is no windscreen in F1 cars.

A lot depends on how hard it rains. F1 will red flag a race if an actual downpour occurs during a race. Some races have been delayed 24 hours in the past due to rain. The big issue is safety. Full wet rain tires do a good job of displacing water on the racing surface and providing a certain amount of grip. During torrential rains, the tires can't displace enough water to provide a reasonable amount of grip causing the cars to hydroplane out of control at any kind of speed much above a crawl. This doesn't make for much of a race, therefore the red flag or delay.

As for water in the cockpit, there are provisions made for some drainage, but again torrential rains do have a negative effect.

No. The airflow keeps the moving air, and the rain, out of the cockpit.

No, At the kind of speed the cars are travelling at, the rain will either hit the windscreen or be blown over the car in the slipstream.
