Wooden acting? Girls in short skirts and strappy tops in the middle of winter (in Chester)? The marathon that is the omnibus edition on a Sunday? If Hollyoaks is so good - why would people miss it during the week and have to watch it on a Sunday?

Well, if you cast enough young, skinny girls and dress them in next to no clothes, all the blokes are going to tune in panting at them like dogs no matter how naff the storylines are!

Hollyoaks is aimed at young teenagers who have queries about life and perhaps feel to embarrassed to ask someone about it and believe that they could maybe get some answers from the program.
It also provides help lines after the show when they broadcast a very emotional topic which most people of that age might have or have gone through,
for example recently they did a show about a 15 year old girl getting pregnant. They showed how she and possibly how other young girls in the situation might handle it.
So in someways it is an important part of a young persons life but an older audience would find it very tedious to watch.

Hollyoaks the only place in the world where no one lives to be over 40 years old and people dress for summer in the dead of winter.

Because some of us have busy lives and like to watch it altogether on a Sunday morning, it is playing in the background as I am answering these questions. And it is good to watch if you don’t want to watch the news as it is on at the same time.

i dunno i can go with out weeks not watching it and then when i do watch it i i know what is happening!!! The omnibus is the only way that people in wales can find out wats going on, but it is crap

yes it is it is mordren end has a great production. it is the only soap that does great camrea tricks, it is more about young people than all the other soaps and has pride of place in my heart.

I hate it, its meant to be realistic but their all crap actors who look fake and plastic.
