Complete plot summary here:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cruel_Intentions

Cruel Intentions is pretty faithful to Dangerous Liaisons - the difference is just that it's set in present day New York and is about teenagers (as opposed to 20/30-something adults). The themes are the same as in Dangerous Liaisons - sexual politics and hypocrisy among the upper classes. One of the most interesting aspects of Cruel Intentions is that it makes no bones about the fact that the USA /has/ an upper class, despite the fact that it's supposed to be a classless society. I'd use this idea of an "upper class" as a starting point for your comparisons.

Also, you'll probably want to talk about the issue of relevance - does Dangerous Liaisons have anything relevant to say to today's audience? Does Cruel Intentions? Does Untold Scandal?

Maybe discuss the whole idea of shifting a story to a different context - is it still the same story? Is the same universal message there?

Can't imagine you'll be able to write much of a paper unless you watch the movie though - in fact, why don't you? It's pretty good (at the very least you get to gawp at various hot young actors/actresses depending on your fancy).

Hello dear!
Well, I can not give you much info, but: if we try to eat the wild bore, is survival; if the wild bore kills us is cruelty!
If our side succeeds is justice, if the other side wins, it is cruelty!
